Default Spacers/Adapters...safe...?

So I am looking for a nice not to curbed set of bbs rs.... not going so well I have only found two sets with a decent price. However on is about 5000 km's away from me and the other is 5x130 so I am wondering is using adapters safe? and are there any race spec adapters? if so what brands...

As I was choosing for rims back in the day, many tire stores highly advised against spacers and adapters. They said it puts a lot of stress on the suspension. But then again, they could be saying that to protect themselves.

A lot of VW guys use adapters to run other brands of wheels on their cars. Search around various car websites about spacers and adapters and see if there are any scary experiences. I personally have never read anything bad about them as long as you do it correctly with the proper hardware.

Would it be possible to redrill the 5x130s?

wheel spacers FTW! just make sure you get the proper stuff... as I understand a correct spacer must have a lip on which your wheel rests - your wheels cant be supported only by wheel bolts.
Down & Out FTW

small spacers (ie, 20mm or less) are ok, so long as you have lugs/bolts that are long enough to be fully threaded when tight.

hub converters, however, i would avoid like the plague.
most leagues/clubs have banned them for a reason.
