97 Active 5 spd.
Bought it a year ago this month for
$7,000. Great shape, near flawless paint/exterior, never even a minor accident. With all the mods in my sig (plus all the original parts), but needed new tires, still needs new belts and the headliner is beginning to sag.
83,250 miles when purchased, just turned over 90k last week.

FWIW, I consider what I paid fair —*not a great deal, but not a rip off. The sellers are good friends of mine, so we worked out a price that was fair for both of us.

Year/Model: '97 5sp Alpine white
Date Purch: Sept 2005
Location: Boston Area
Price Paid: $4,500
Mileage when Purchased: 132,000
Current Mileage: 134,000
Options: ASC+T, m-tec sideskirts (no sunroof, no cruise control, no OBC, steel wheels - about as basic as you can get)

Needed to have the front grill and hood repaited and some basic mechanical repairs other than that it runs great. Given about 1K in repairs and the mileage on the car it was a fair deal.

Put some 235/40/17 AVS Sport tires on the car and that really improved the handling.

'95 ClubSport, Red 5sp
Date: 19 Feb 1996 (brand new leftover, <10 miles)
Delaware
It's got the "bumped up" sound system, and 6 CD in the trunk (though that doesn't work since I swapped out the head unit), sunroof. NO ACTIVE options like cruise, heated seats, keyless entry, etc.
I think I have the original paperwork.
223K miles now. No majors issues.
Another window jumped the track, taking it in next week.
Paid about $29,000.
I love this car.

Year/Model: 1997 Active 5sp
Date Purchased: September 17, 2005
Location Purchased: Appleton WI
Price Paid: $4,520 (knocked the guy down a ton[list was like $7k or some ridiculous amount, got him to $4800 before I even drove up and looked at it] for some little stuff, small pwr steering leak, brakes about 30%, stuff like that)
Mileage When Purchased: 137800
Current Mileage: 137800
Options: all the active stuff... cruise, pw/pl/pm, heated seats (the fully cloth ones--I like cloth more though), sunroof, 10 speaker h/k (I'm really quite surprised by the stock system-it sounds awesome and I'm picky too), crappy 10 spoke 15's though.

If you have a H/K sound system in your ti that isn't stock, that would've been put in by the original owner. Only two stereos were made for them one being alpine and i think blauinkput is the other.

Does anybody need this right away? I'm swamped with work, and would like to put this off until after finals.

I'll likely churn it out in a fit of procrastination, but if somebody is relying on this I can make it a priority (while procrastinating).

just because it doesn't have a brand on it, doesn't mean that's not the manufacturer. bmw doesn't make the audio in the car, they buy from other manufacturers. pretty sure it was listed as H/K on my sales tag.

This is all news to me that there was an H/K option to the ti. I have the original window sticker at home, but I think it just said 10spkr premium sound system. I'll have to doublecheck when I get home.
