Default Bilstein Vs. Konis

Just picked up a 1997 TI M sport

I am choosing between konis or bilstein and pair it with H&R springs

Goals for the car:

1. I want it as smooth as possible.
2. Can be tracked on the weekends

What are your inputs on this topic?

Looking forwards on learning a lot of things in this forum!

On a smooth-as-glass racetrack bilstein will perform better, on daily driver roads koni can be made more comfortable. H&R springs are too soft for how much they lower the car, especially the rears. If you have to run H&R fronts at least get a decent 400 or 500lb coilover spring to put in the rear.

You could also call ground control and ask them about coilover converted koni sports, I'd do that as a budget friendly, comfortable, track capable set up.

A quality coilover setup is worlds above a shock and spring combo.
