Default My car grew up

Hello,
I'm Josh and this is my new to me 'ti. I recently graduated college and decided it was time for more of a daily "driver". I'd been driving my project 1970 BMW 2002. I'd completed a motor swap, suspension, interior etc but life after college is busier and rougher on a car than I'd like.My Gf and I picked up an e46 325i sport wagon and I was really starting to crave an updated BMW.

I also took a spin in my friend's 318ti and I noticed quite a few similarities between the 2002 and the 'ti. I also really liked the e30 style dash combined the e36 ///M exterior. It felt like my car had matured a bit.

Cruising on CL and looking around at cars and just my luck I find a 318ti from my homeland in the midwest. I ended up making good friends with the owner and it's been a win/win. Sold the car, and gained a friend. Of course the 'ti isn't perfect but you can tell it's been loved.

My car, Ryans 540 wagon and his old 'ti/my new 'ti. Good circle of friends.

My buddy Brian sold his 2002 and went back to an e30 (what we both owned before we got into the 2002 mess lol). He got his new car the same day! He came over and helped us wash everything and his car as well.

I'd also like to say thanks to this forum. I've had quite a few questions before the purchase and the search function helped cover all of my questions. The car has already needed some things addressed so I'll post up soon.

Thank you ^.

So my car's wheels were chrome and starting to peel and leak air. Like a true sir I found some bbs's close by and picked them up.

I also noticed my brakes did not exist any longer, so I picked up some 328is calipers, pads, and slotted/vented rotors along with some brake fluid of the dot4 ATE super blue variety. So far it's been a major improvement. The car rubs a little during turns in the rear, and the front could use a little low, but otherwise i'm happy!

Now for a wash
