There isn't much reason to upgrade them unless you have the engine to upgrade with too. You'll basically transfer more engine movement to the chassis and ultimately to your seat bottom if you install the I6 mounts on the I4. I'd probably just leave them alone. __________________ SOLD!!! 1999 332ti //M Sport Titanium Silver M3 S52 3.2 I-6 Engine, M3 Clutch w/ ti Getrag Trans, Z3 3.15 LSD medium case diff and half shafts, OEM Hatch Spoiler, Eurosport HP Underdrive Pulleys, FDM, 17" DS1 rims, M3 Front Struts & Springs, M3 Instrument Cluster, 3-spoke //M steering wheel with tri-color stitching, SSK, CCFL Angels in Depo projectors with 5k HIDs | | | 06-01-2007, 04:43 PM | #8 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: state college, pa Posts: 3,431 | I understand that they are probably made of a more rigid urethane, but there's no performance increase in doing so. All you're doing is transmitting more vibration to the chassis. The motor may move less, but the drivetrain rigidity is limited by the guibo/flex disc anyway. You're going to end up with a louder car, beefing up good links on a weak chain. If it's that you don't want to replace them as often, give a squirt of WD40 every once in a while. It refreshes the rubber. __________________ I scream, you scream, we all scream for ZOMBIES. | | | 06-01-2007, 04:45 PM | #9 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2007 Location: OKC, Oklahoma Posts: 387 | well mine are dead so i need new ones! Check the mounts, but if it's not that, don't think of firming them up as an upgrade, unless you want to turn your morning coffees into a frappuccino. You may have an engine timing/tuning issue if it's shaking as bad as you say. __________________ 1997 332ti - Don't even ask. 2006 330i - ZPP/ZSP/ZCW/6sp/Nav/BT/H&R Sport 2011 E92 M3 | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
