Eventually fired it up. Only let it run a few seconds so as to not smoke out my neighbors too bad Getting ready to put some rubber on some wheels I bought from a user here a few years back... Then its new dif fluid, trans fluid, valve cover gasket, royal purple oil change and front hubs. Last edited by DataTraveler; 10-28-2013 at 01:41 PM. Have everything back together, but the struts. Those are even fully assembled and just need to be bolted in tonight. 3 of the 4 shocks had no resistance at all, one had minimal. I am hoping this will make a noticeable difference in handling and get rid of the 60 mph shimmy. I also got the cordless impact gun that is on sale at Sears currently for $90. I have clue as to how I have done all my previous mechanical projects in life without one of these gadgets. So far, I love it! Knocked off the rusted strut bolts with no problem even though it is only rated at 200 ft lbs. | | | 10-28-2013, 05:43 PM | #3140 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2010 Location: Roanoke, VA Posts: 472 | Quote: Originally Posted by diegokiill For U Ethanol is more expensive then Gas? Premium with ethanol was $3.38 per gallon. With out ethanol was $3.79 per gallon. | | | 10-28-2013, 11:28 PM | #3141 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2009 Location: Detroit Posts: 164 | AND. Today I bought the bits to make my own coil on plug kit. After planning for a year an a half. Luckily there's a DIY floating around the internet that (designed for the 1.9l z car) makes it simple for a dummy like me. | | | 10-29-2013, 05:27 PM | #3142 | Member Join Date: Aug 2013 Location: winsted, connecticut Posts: 36 | I watched my ti turn 170,000 miles today at 2:am on my way To work .. | | | 10-29-2013, 06:10 PM | #3143 | Member Join Date: Aug 2013 Location: winsted, connecticut Posts: 36 | My carz rocker panels. The ti performed perfectly and remained comfortable. Plenty of room for two adults and their luggage and stuff with the back seats folded down and the rear dash taken out. | | | 11-02-2013, 10:43 PM | #3145 | Member Join Date: Aug 2013 Location: winsted, connecticut Posts: 36 | oil change, wash, new serpentine belt. and checked all the air pressure in the tires | | | 11-02-2013, 11:17 PM | #3146 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Greenville, SC Posts: 9,356 | Replaced swaybar endlinks on the 96. Took apart the hatch trim to find a leak on the 95. Replaced gas cap on the Mini. Hope that fixes the EVAP fault. __________________ ...steven BMW CCA #146825 1996 BMW 328ti • 2003 MINI Cooper S • 2016 M235i www.bmwcca.org | | | 11-03-2013, 01:05 AM | #3147 | Member Join Date: Sep 2013 Location: Summerville, SC Posts: 40 | Disconnected the rotten busted rear speakers and bolted in a box with 6 1/2 inch woofers, 3 inch midranges and 2 inch horn tweeters.
