Default FS: MSport Black Headliner parts

SOLD

Was planning on a 2nd ti but things change.

I have all of the parts for a black headliner conversion.

Lights, Grab Handles, Sunroof Switch Panel, Sun Visors, Sunroof Trim Molding & A-B-C Pillar Covers.

I'll post photos ASAP but all parts are in great condition.

All you need to do is have your headliner & sunroof panels re-covered in black by an upholstery shop to complete the "kit".

I did mine with Alcantara and it was about $75 in fabric.

My BFOE has an upholstery shop so he helped me get it done but it was a couple of hours of work to do (if you've done one before).

Let me know if this would be worth $160 to anyone otherwise I may post it on eBay and see what happens.

Thanks for looking!

Knosker,

If you have ever sat in a car like an M3 with black headliner. You feel very cocooned and focused on what is outside the car. It is much less distracting to me.

You understood that the main & sunroof panels were not part of what I have right?

I basically have all of the other black parts for the conversion.

The big panel is too big to ship economically and is more easily re-covered from your car.

The big headliner panel is easy to remove and a shop that is familiar with headliners will know how to remove the interior sunroof panel or if your handy with tools, there are a few "how to's" online and I have done it myself since getting the inside sunroof panel off is is almost the same as any E36 sunroof repair process.

I am actually replacing my headliner with black as my current tan headliner is sagging and need those pieces to complete the black look!

I'll gather up all of the parts tonight and see how big the box needs to be but if I can get it to fit in one of the USPS flat rat boxes, it should be pretty reasonable to ship.

I think Knosker is having it for $160 if the shipping is not too much.

I'll find out today on the shipping.

Thanks

quick ? about the Grab Handles ..I like having 1 on my drivers side..I added 1 to my old 91 E30 M42 & have wanted to add 1 to my ti now..do you remember if the holes are there under headliner on drivers side..they were there on my E30 (probably because the RHD e30 made) I did try to peel back my black liner once but my whole headliner is in a fragile state & I'm due for a whole change soon...do you have any pics of the alcantara headliner...do you know what the install averages?

I don't recall looking but I think you're right that the mounting point is probably there on the driver's side too.

Maybe knosker can check for you when he has his out.

My BFOE that does upholstery said that if he was doing it for a regular customer with Alcantara it would be a $300 job to cover the headliner, sunroof panel, A pillars and sunroof switch cover.

I'll make sure I check my old headliner as soon as I replace it, which may be a couple of weeks.
