I have all of the parts for a black headliner conversion. Lights, Grab Handles, Sunroof Switch Panel, Sun Visors, Sunroof Trim Molding & A-B-C Pillar Covers. I'll post photos ASAP but all parts are in great condition. All you need to do is have your headliner & sunroof panels re-covered in black by an upholstery shop to complete the "kit". I did mine with Alcantara and it was about $75 in fabric. My BFOE has an upholstery shop so he helped me get it done but it was a couple of hours of work to do (if you've done one before). Let me know if this would be worth $160 to anyone otherwise I may post it on eBay and see what happens. Thanks for looking! You feel very cocooned and focused on what is outside the car. It is much less distracting to me. You understood that the main & sunroof panels were not part of what I have right? I basically have all of the other black parts for the conversion. The big panel is too big to ship economically and is more easily re-covered from your car. The big headliner panel is easy to remove and a shop that is familiar with headliners will know how to remove the interior sunroof panel or if your handy with tools, there are a few "how to's" online and I have done it myself since getting the inside sunroof panel off is is almost the same as any E36 sunroof repair process. | | | 03-29-2010, 03:32 AM | #4 | Member Join Date: Aug 2009 Location: Central Jersey Posts: 37 | I am actually replacing my headliner with black as my current tan headliner is sagging and need those pieces to complete the black look! | | | 03-29-2010, 03:41 AM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2008 Location: San Diego Posts: 179 | I'll gather up all of the parts tonight and see how big the box needs to be but if I can get it to fit in one of the USPS flat rat boxes, it should be pretty reasonable to ship. | | | 03-29-2010, 03:25 PM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2008 Location: Houston TX Posts: 309 | Will u take 120 shipped? | | | 03-29-2010, 03:33 PM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2008 Location: San Diego Posts: 179 | I think Knosker is having it for $160 if the shipping is not too much. I'll find out today on the shipping. Maybe knosker can check for you when he has his out. My BFOE that does upholstery said that if he was doing it for a regular customer with Alcantara it would be a $300 job to cover the headliner, sunroof panel, A pillars and sunroof switch cover.
