Default BMW 2002 concept

As a former owner of a 1969 BMW 2002, back in the early 90's the 2002 always brings back memories of good times! So when I saw the headline 2002 concept I was pretty excited but this looks like a 1 series with a body kit it does sound great. Any thoughts?

Why does BMW have so many series 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 etc?

I have to look at that car very hard to see any 2002 styling ques. Graphics are very clever.

UH, as a current and longtime owner of a 1970 1600, I see no resemblance at all. It is a really cool car though! I think they are just trying to spark interest by using the 2002 image.

318ti is the closest feel to a 2002 IMO..

Agreed! I am constantly making comparisons between my 1600 and 318ti.
