Finally got my ballast back from Apexcone so I figured while I was working on that I would work on my halos that haven't been hooked up for awhile. I am wanting to have them hooked up so when I turn the car on, they come on. Any ideas of a wire to use? Would I do the same thing to have my low beams come on too? __________________ Steffen, they are F's not V's. How would I do the fused line from the battery? __________________ Steffen, they are F's not V's. Either disconnect the battery or make sure you don't ground yourself or any tools--it doesn't hurt that much but you can fry your electrical system if you're not careful. Ground is in front of the left strut tower, 10mm bolt IIRC. __________________ I scream, you scream, we all scream for ZOMBIES. | | | 05-01-2009, 02:35 AM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2007 Location: Nashville, TN Posts: 699 | If I hook them up to the battery and add a fuse, they will stay on all the time, correct? I want them to come on when the ignition is on and it's a pain trying to find one wire that is on when the ignition is on. __________________ Steffen, they are F's not V's. The relay is connected to something on the ignition. When the ignition is turned on, the relay will open and turn the lights on. If you don't know what your doing, then don't do it, last thing you want to do is mess up your cars electrical system. __________________ -Jeff | | | 05-01-2009, 03:34 AM | #8 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2007 Location: Nashville, TN Posts: 699 | I understand what to do, I have wired many things in cars. What kind of relay am I needing? If you can give me a parts list then I can do it. __________________ Steffen, they are F's not V's. You can use any kinda NC relay you want, just find one that you feel will be appropriate for the situation, make sure you get one that will be fine with the amount of current your headlights need to draw. __________________ -Jeff | | | 05-01-2009, 03:57 AM | #10 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2007 Location: Nashville, TN Posts: 699 | How much will I need? I understand how to wire, never really tried to understand current and whatnot. __________________ Steffen, they are F's not V's.
