Default BMW TIS Access? Favor to ask.

Would anyone with access to the BMW TIS system like to help me out?

I'm wondering what's involved with removing and installing the intake cam adjusters units (one left, one right) on an N62 engine. (2004 X5 4.4i). I need to replace a leaking coolant pipe and the instructions say to remove these adjusters. The diagram looks like they just bolt right in, but I want to make sure there's no special tools and/or adjustment needed.

Thanks a million

bolt right on, we just got finished rebuilding one completely, you do have to have the special tools for timing it properly

Thanks!

So to be clear, if I don't touch the heads (cams, timing chain, etc.) those units still need to be timed?

I need to pull just the intake manifold, valley pan, water pump to access the long water pipe in the valley. There's an aftermarket, collapsable pipe to replace the factory one, making the job FAR easier than it would be otherwise.

EDIT: Nevermind, the acuators don't need to be touched.
