What are the differences in the models. | | | 02-20-2004, 03:25 AM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Greenville, SC Posts: 9,356 | Where are you finding a 328ti exhaust in the US? My guess is it is the same other than perhaqps the exhaust flap which doesn't really matter. __________________ ...steven BMW CCA #146825 1996 BMW 328ti • 2003 MINI Cooper S • 2016 M235i www.bmwcca.org | | | 02-21-2004, 04:14 AM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2004 Location: LA & Colo Spgs Posts: 210 | If it really is a genuine 323 exhaust, it will be a euro part for a 6-cylinder and may not fit your 4-cylinder exhaust manifold and catalytic converter. I know for sure the genuine euro 323 part will require cutting the rear apron to make the dual exhaust tips fit the U.S. single tip opening. | | | 02-21-2004, 04:27 AM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Greenville, SC Posts: 9,356 | Or you can buy the 323ti rear valence. If you want one, I have one I am not using. I don't recall what I paid. I could call the dealer. I really can't sell it for less than I paid though. __________________ ...steven BMW CCA #146825 1996 BMW 328ti • 2003 MINI Cooper S • 2016 M235i www.bmwcca.org | | | 02-27-2004, 07:23 AM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2004 Location: Port St. Johns, Florida Posts: 2,242 | Quote: Originally Posted by Steven Schlossman Where are you finding a 328ti exhaust in the US? Posts: 3,156 | I'm not sure about the 323, but the 330/332 have dual outlets from the cat, whereas the 318/319 and 323 have one outlet, SO, they may look the same in pics, and may even be the same, but if the part number is different, it's a diferent part. Probably (and not easily discerned in a photo) the LENGTH is a bit different. Perhaps the diameter of the pipe as well. My advise: don't bother. It's a single outlet and shipping from the fatherland will be expensive on something that long and heavy. | | | 05-21-2005, 02:14 PM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2003 Location: Walnut Creek, CA Posts: 642 | 323ti valence Quote: Originally Posted by 1996 328ti Or you can buy the 323ti rear valence. Is it like the M-tech black diffuser piece or the standard bumper integrated valence? If it's like the M-tech piece, I would be interested in buying it from you. Chris | I still have it. It looks like the regular M-technic valence except the cutout for the exhaust is bigger. I'd sell it but it will be a PITA to ship. I'll have to look up the price. I probably paid 20% off of what realoem lists them for. __________________ ...steven BMW CCA #146825 1996 BMW 328ti • 2003 MINI Cooper S • 2016 M235i www.bmwcca.org | | | 05-23-2005, 01:48 AM | #9 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2003 Location: Walnut Creek, CA Posts: 642 | Steven, I took some pics of my twin tip exhaust and put a measuring tape in for reference. Can you take some quick measurements of the openeing to see if this will work for me? The driver side tip looks to start about 9" from the drivers bumper edge and the tips seem to span 7". If it works, I take it off your hands.
