To think this guy has $13k or more invested in his ride is crazy. I give him an A for effort, but IMO it's pretty horrendous looking. The black headliner is a great idea, but only if you go all the way black, pull the Oh **** handles to be painted, and dye the sunroof trim. I know he's going for a two-tone look, but it just doesn't do it for me. Two-tone really only seems to look good when the darker color covers most of the area and the lighter color is used for accenting like on the sport editions. No offense to anyone with a dash mat, but that's not my thing either. Then it looks like the car was green, and repainted black at Maaco, notice the engine bay color. Plus, cheap seat covers, and cheap neon lighting from Walmart of the local parts store. I just don't see how it adds up to $13k, but to each his own. For me, I would have spent the money on an M3 swap or at least saved it and bought a decent used e36 M3 or a very nicely kept manual 99 Sport TI for that price. | | | 09-24-2005, 09:33 PM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: state college, pa Posts: 3,431 | A for effort? the guy just bunch a lot of crap (and i do mean crap) from autozone et al and draped it over the car. and what the hell is a "fin"? more accessories do not a better car make. ever seen a girl wearing too much makeup / jewelry / crap? it's the same deal. __________________ I scream, you scream, we all scream for ZOMBIES. | | | 09-25-2005, 05:07 AM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Saint Paul, MN Posts: 3,244 | Quote: Originally Posted by cali-ti this is my favorite part, "light up skulls in the dash" ... i want pics of that ****! lol | what you really get: __________________ My Former Rides 1999 318ti Alpine White, Cali Roof, Dinan goodies 1996 318ti Hellrot California Edition Last edited by 96cali; 07-15-2009 at 10:27 PM. | | | 09-25-2005, 02:59 PM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2004 Location: atlanta Posts: 145 | acex - You're right. Guess I was just being polite about A for effort. IMHO, it looks like a piece of crapola and give TI's a bad name when something like is seen out on the road. | | | 09-25-2005, 05:33 PM | #8 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2004 Location: Tampa Posts: 465 | Don't hate...
