Question car is leaking coolant

so i searched a ton of threads and learned a lot about the common leaks and causes but heres my story.

when i got my red ti the past owner said he had his mechanic or something bypass the heater thingy (those were his words lol) he meant heater core.

well anyways i unbypassed the heater core and now the car is leaking from the evaporator condensate drain on the motor side of the firewall. anyways that just shows that i have a bad heater core correct? i just wanna see if anyone else has had this same problem.

i am not looking forward to the dash removal and mass amount of work to replace the core!

but anyways let me know if you think it could be anything else.

i have check the plastic fittings and not leaking. checked everything i hve read and still leaks out of the drain tubes.

thanks again everyone

(hope that made sense)lol

make sure it is not leaking from the (# 9) plastic coolant pipe from photo below... it is on the back side of your engine, right in front of your firewall (and it is a bitch to replace).. my car has a slight coolant 'drip' coming from that plastic connector.

well last night i had the car all ready to start working on and it just s happens that a bmw tech was helping a buddy in our shop and came over and figured out it was the heater core but it was fixable from the outside. it was the piece that connects to the firewall and has two hose inlets. i would show it on realoem but the site is down!
