Default Greetings from Vancouver Island

Just got my first Ti (however my 6th BMW and 2nd E36). Bought it from the original owner who was too old to further drive a car. She was roughly 80 years old and her grandson and husband helped to facilitate the sale. Driven only 6000KMs (3700 miles) in the past 5 years and 133,000KMs total (82K miles) since she bought it new. Everything appears to be original aside from a more recent headunit with bluetooth and mic installed for hands free calling and bluetooth audio, also when I had it up on the hoist it appears to have had a newer cat installed at some point.

Some needs:
- headliner is beginning to sag
- minute amount of surface rust, perhaps an inch in diameter at the back end of the drivers rocker panel. I checked behind the metal and it is rust free so luckily is only surface.
- muffler needs to be replaced (rattles when shaken)
- hatch struts shot
- shocks and struts soft

I immediately ordered:
- air filter
- spark plugs
- oil filter
- diff and tranny fluid
- hatch struts
- wipers all around
- muffler

After I get all that initial maintenance done I will attempt to find someone local to address the headliner, hopefully I can keep the original anthracite cloth. I will sand down the surface rust and bring it in somewhere local to touch up. Order supsension parts for a full refresh. Then move on to making it unique while trying also to stay mostly OEM. So throw on some nicer wheels, make it a tad lower, perhaps a steering wheel, stubby antenna, yellow fogs etc Once I get going I will begin a build thread.
