Default DIY i put a double din screen in my ti!

i have looked all over the internet and found nothing about someone putting a double din radio in a ti. well now its been done! i had to cut a hole out of the a/c and fiberglass it up. then custom make longer hoses to the climate controls, extend the lengths of climate control wires, and custom make a metal peice that turns the vents. then dremel out the climate control area of the cover. almost done!

nice, I've seen it done once before, except they just had a 7" LCD monitor, they had the climate control knobs mounted on the drivers knee bolster, the radio faceplate all wired up in the spot for the front domelight with the actual headunit hidden someplace else, looked pretty sweet, can't wait to see yours done

im pretty close. i need to order the trim ring and figure out how to make some sort of fiberglass black box to put my climate controls in down where the ciggarette lighter goes. i also got a big ported box, 2 alpine 12" type-r subs, memphis mcd-1000 1100rms amp, and a capacitor. its sooo loud! the reason they put the lcd screen instead of the double din headunit is that it isnt easy to cut the hole in the a/c, or most people wont risk it. i had an extra car to try it out on first.

Default Me too

I'm also looking at a video screen install, either single or double din. I'd like to know too how this turned out. Seems like a lot of extra fab work.
