But Im having a hard time figuring out my particular issue. I have a 1996 318ti and a 1995 325i m50. Using a red label 413 DME with all the m50 loom. The problem is im not getting any spark. I have fuel and it turns over. Just no spark. Ive tried following the instructions in the ultimate 4 cylinder to 6 cylinder swap thread. But my weakest link is wiring. So just running into issue with the instructions because the Ti seems to be different then the instructions show. So any help anyone could provide would be amazing. Thanks in advance. | | | 09-03-2018, 03:35 PM | #2 | Junior Member Join Date: Jul 2018 Location: Texas Posts: 6 | Are you useing a chip in the DME that would help with ews delete. It could just be a ews issue. | | | 09-03-2018, 03:39 PM | #3 | Junior Member Join Date: Jul 2018 Location: Texas Posts: 6 | Also 96 is obd2 are just going to track the car here in tx you have trouble getting it inspected swapping it to obd1. A little more info on what you did with the ews would help get more replys. | | | 09-12-2018, 11:54 AM | #4 | Junior Member Join Date: May 2016 Location: Usa Posts: 8 | Sorry. I wasn't never notified that I got replys on this post. Anyways. I don't have to worry about inspections in Georgia. But as for the ews. I took the ews module out from behind the glovebox and cut the green wire and tied the 2 larger wires together. Then I cut the wire on pin 7 of the x20 connector on the chassis side. I don't have to chip the dme because it's a red label 413 which doesn't have ews. So should be good in the aspect. | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
