I rescued a beat up '96 318ti essentially for the cost of repairing it. It's under 130k mi but is rough, burgundy, with black leather, active package, and is wearing E46 7 spoke wheels. I live in Atlanta, mid 30's, contractor with IBM, and am pretty active in motorsports. I also have a '95 240SX + crashed race car, and an old VW Fox. To start off, if anybody has some spare wheels/tires near ATL, let me know. Thanks, Tony | | | 05-19-2008, 04:12 AM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2008 Location: MI Posts: 204 | Welcome! | | | 05-19-2008, 04:18 AM | #3 | Member Join Date: Mar 2008 Location: iowa Posts: 79 | welcome to the site put some pics up of your car. and look in "for sale" forum theres a member parting out his ti due to a accident. might help ya with finding some stuff you need | | | 05-19-2008, 04:28 AM | #4 | Moderator Join Date: Dec 2006 Location: SoCal318ti Posts: 1,574 | Welcome!!! | | | 05-19-2008, 05:08 PM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2006 Location: Land of the Vikings Posts: 2,700 | Welcome bud __________________ Vin Number decode and Retrofit Pdfs Available Free ! I have a 1996 318TI Silver (Active), I've had it for about 6 years now, has 212k miles on it. Nice car and drives great, I wish I can do most of the work on it. I remember when they were first introduce in 1995, I did not like them, I was into Golf GTI back in the UK, when I moved to the states back in 2002 I went car shopping and wanted a BMW, one of the dealers had this car on the lot and after a test drive I fell in love with it. I came across this site some few years ago and signed up, but not an active member, I also live in Atlanta by Mall of GA. I saw one of the members had put the first M3 (MK I) body panel on the TI and it look cool, that's what I want to do to mine, do any body know how he did that and if there is a body kit you can buy or how to achieve that look? I went to the dealers to find out how much those panels are, they are about $500 each, a cheaper option will be nice. I think it looks kinda neat.
