I was looking at e36 325s with a automatic and I was also looking at the A4 audi. Does anyone know about the audi with the 2.8? Will it be faster? good handling? Nice interior? Any help is greatly appreciated | | | 03-19-2008, 05:41 AM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2008 Location: Milwaukee Posts: 189 | A4's don't handle like Bmws. My girlfriends mom drives a 2.8 a4. Its quick but the seats are high up and you don't feel like your driving a sporty car. Also if there is any problems with your dash it will cost a fortune. Her dash went out, which is common, and was replaced under warranty luckily. The dealer told her it would have cost around 2500.00 to replace. It is still a nice car but I don't think the two cars should be compared. Did you look for an automatic Ti? | | | 03-19-2008, 05:43 AM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2007 Location: Fallon Nevada Posts: 178 | im havin problems with the gauges in my ti , I thought the a4 quattro would handle quite well, the ti just doesnt have enought space for me . the subs take up my whole trunk and theres no where to put all my gear | | | 03-19-2008, 06:24 AM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2008 Location: Milwaukee Posts: 189 | The A4 is great in the snow compared to the Ti. The handling is good compared to many cars but doesn't compare to the Ti. All I am saying is that the A4 will not give you a sporty feel. Its more of a spongy feel, great for long road trips or if you have kids. Don't forget to keep the rising cost of gas in the back of your head while choosing. | | | 03-19-2008, 07:28 AM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2007 Location: LA, Bellflower, CA Posts: 3,613 | wish i can give you advice regarding the A4. all i can say i think it looks nice. but never driven one. although i've been in the RS4 (is it?) and it was quick. __________________ -Theta Chi- Float like a cadilac, sting like a BIMMER .... my socket is just too thick and won't fit in the hole! damnit! The s4 is a sport version of the a4 and the rs4 is a s4 on crack. The golf would be cool or a gti. The gti is a two door though, so if space is an issue that might be out of the question. I test drove a 2003 gti vr6. It was nice and I would have purchased it but the 6th gear clunked. check out the golf tdi, lots of torque and great gas milage. | | | 03-20-2008, 02:16 AM | #9 | Member Join Date: Jan 2008 Location: sf ca Posts: 32 | I live in san francisco and have auto. I would say just switch to an auto trans ti. Your from here so you know as well as I do the parking situation is worse than the hills and traffic. Rember no trunk = more parking spots. Im also with Anthonyl on the VW thought. | | | 03-20-2008, 05:46 PM | #10 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2007 Location: Eugene Oregon Posts: 6,182 | yeah i like gti's and i love ti's i would give up my car for an rs4 in a heartbeat but they are expensive fast and not all that common. stick to a golf or a ti keeping them both autos for the bay driving __________________ -Josh Sold-1995 318ti, Club Sport, Hellrot Sold-1996 318ti, Active Model, Boston Green Current- 1995 318ti, sport model, schwartz | | | 03-20-2008, 06:23 PM | #11 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2007 Location: Fallon Nevada Posts: 178 | i think i will be getting another ti or a gti, yeah the parking is horrible if i didnt have gps i would have gotten so lost | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
