Bled system, no leaks and cooling stable, except I noticed the cooling fan is not turning on. I'll check fuses, bench test the fan and connections and check the fan relay after work today. The temp got to 104c and no fan activation. Additionally, it did not activate when I turned on the A/C. Not properly connected, bad relay or dead fan I'm thinking. 97 M44 Auto. I recall reading a few threads on the electric fan, I'll dig them back up for clues. A seller on eBay has a few of them for small dollars. __________________ ... ʎɐqǝ uo pɹɐoqʎǝʞ ɐ ʎnq ı ǝɯıʇ ʇsɐן ǝɥʇ sı sıɥʇ | | | 10-11-2015, 11:15 PM | #148 | Member Join Date: Aug 2015 Location: Arizona Posts: 99 | Cheating a little bit with this first one, but I got the car tinted a few days ago. It was a fish bowl when I bought it, so now it's 35% up front, and 20% on the rear and hatch. I like the look, not too dark but certainly makes the cabin more comfortable. The other night I was driving back from a meet and the car started misfiring. Decided to change the spark plugs this morning. They weren't the worst I've seen, but they needed to be changed. Runs better now, but still misfiring above 4k for some reason. PO told me he had issues with the coilpack ground or something like that, so I'll start digging. Finally, today I put my Kidneys in. When I bought the car, the PO said the kidneys were knocked out by road debris. So I ordered a cheap set of shadowline grilles, and I like the look. They didn't fit real well, but that's what I get for not buying OEM. From 5 feet away they're fine though. | | | 10-21-2015, 11:47 PM | #149 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2013 Location: Ithaca, NY, USA Posts: 147 | Removing this bad boy was a bit of a hassle, but it was an absolute joy compared to disconnecting all the wires that go through the middle of the intake manifold. | | | 10-22-2015, 12:14 AM | #150 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2012 Location: Sacramento, CA Posts: 2,451 | At least the Torx bolts bolt directly into the starter, not like previous models where the connected to a nut and you had to secure both sides to take it off.
