Default Lowered or not, tire size question

New owner of a 96 TI, hence no idea whether it is lowered or not. The front clearing is 5cm and the rear is 6.5cm, I have 195/65/15 winter tires on. Could someone let me know if this looks like it is lowered? Tx

Would also like to know if I can safely run 225/60/15 for the summer (as I am just about to get some new summer tires)

What is the name of my summer rims?

Take some side view (whole car) pics on a flat surface like the street. The incline from the drivaway distorts angle of the wheels. This way we can tell you if lowered or not better.

1996 328ti is right there is the notorious rust on the rear wheel well.

It is rust! at this moment in time i am not sure how to go about solving that issue ...

I feel all the bumps on the pavement, hence the lowered or not question, assuming lowered springs are harder. i just want it to be a better ride.

It may not be lowering springs. Your suspension could be shot causing it to ride low and harsh.

The easiest and best way, rather than people trying to guess from pictures, would be to remove your rear or front wheel and look at the springs. They will probably be really dirty, so take a wet rag and wipe the dirt off. Aftermarket springs will say who the manufacturer is.. It is a lot easier to tell by actually looking to see what springs/struts are on the car.
