Default Need radio code

I just bought a TI and the radio needs a code to be turned on, How and where do get the code and how do you put the code into the radio ?

If your car has an owner's manual, the reset code might be in there.
Otherwise you need to go to a dealer.
I'm pretty sure they need the VIN and proof that you are the owner.
Assuming it is the original radio.

The dealer needed the serial number of the radio for my 98. Just called the service department. They didn't seem to need proof of ownership or anything either.

After my last battery disconnect I popped my radio out to discover that someone had written the security code on the radio for me

to be honest mate? if some one breaks in to steal my radio the radio is the least of my problems.

if they're willing to risk getting cut on broken glass and getting caught by the police for an old cassette deck, just let the poor guy have it, he has more problems than you

just did a quick check around, it looks like they still sell blank cassettes, but no artists are actually releasing cassettes, there are some that are being released onto vinyl records though so maybe when cassettes become old enough to be "retro" they'll come back
