Inactive ti? I would recommend Fogging the airbox ( http://mz3.net/articles/149.html) and getting a Bosal or Stromung exhaust. | | | 07-15-2009, 03:42 PM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2009 Location: Charlottesville, VA Posts: 102 | Have you tried Foggin the airbox and if so what did you think? The concept sound very tempting. | | | 07-15-2009, 03:56 PM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2007 Location: Elizabeth City, NC Posts: 3,877 | I did it, same "gains" you can expect from a CAI for significantly less money and it keeps the stock air filter. Made sense to me. I did notice that it pulled a little harder in the higher revs. __________________ ~Dave~ 98 328ti Morea Grun slicktop 11 128i space gray slicktop 13 JGC WK2 Deep Cherry Search | RealOEM | | | 07-15-2009, 06:36 PM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2009 Location: Charlottesville, VA Posts: 102 | Nice, I think I will definitely try this one weekend. When you did the modifications to your air box where you running a stock ECU or did you have a chip? | | | 07-15-2009, 06:44 PM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2007 Location: Elizabeth City, NC Posts: 3,877 | Stock ECU, and it still is. __________________ ~Dave~ 98 328ti Morea Grun slicktop 11 128i space gray slicktop 13 JGC WK2 Deep Cherry Search | RealOEM | | | 07-16-2009, 02:26 PM | #7 | Junior Member Join Date: Jul 2009 Location: New York Posts: 18 | thanks for the advice | | | 07-16-2009, 11:06 PM | #8 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2009 Location: Charlottesville, VA Posts: 102 | Glad to hear it works so well with a stock ECU, thank you once again for the help | | | 07-17-2009, 01:01 AM | #9 | NOBODY F's with the Jesus Join Date: Oct 2006 Location: Ventura California Posts: 7,824 | Next time somebody starts another one of these stupid ass threads, I think I'm gonna off myself | | | 07-17-2009, 04:20 AM | #10 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2007 Location: Elizabeth City, NC Posts: 3,877 | I think you may have misinterpreted my "gains" remark. You may or may not notice any difference at all. I doubt anymore hp is being made, it was just nice that the engine didn't fall on it's face in the upper revs. Quote: Originally Posted by RedDog Glad to hear it works so well with a stock ECU, thank you once again for the help | __________________ ~Dave~ 98 328ti Morea Grun slicktop 11 128i space gray slicktop 13 JGC WK2 Deep Cherry Search | RealOEM | | | 07-17-2009, 06:15 AM | #11 | Junior Member Join Date: Jul 2009 Location: New York Posts: 18 | So besides fogging it any suggestions on a new intake? | | | 07-21-2009, 02:41 AM | #12 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2005 Location: çî†ÿ øf åNgëL§, CA Posts: 5,314 | Quote: Originally Posted by Bambam846 intercooler | LMFAO!!!!!
