Did you try Yakima? I think that's another roof rack company.

Get the Saris Bones rack and use the hatch hugger.

I dig the look of the Saris Bones.

John,

What exactly are you requiring a rack for? Bike, skis?????
Saris worrks really well for a bike. I have one as well. Depending on what part of the country you are in, you can go to just about any sporting good store and get what you want. Sure, it might not be Thule. Good Luck in finding what you want.

My experience with companies, groups of friends, anything in life is that there's always somebody having a bad day. In the past, Thule has done nothing but help me out.

Try calling again to get somebody else.

I recently bought some thule roofbars off ebay for the coupé, Halford over here in the UK do the kits, I ended up getting one from a small auto parts place after a search on the Thule website for nearest dealers. After ringing te dealer mentioned they checked round and told me which branch had a set.

Maybe worth importing a set? The fixing kit is for both saloon and compact as it has the rubber feet and brackets needed for both.

It's an OE BMW rack.

Cheers,

It's really well designed and the fit is just like an OE part.

I use it without a fairing with 2 OE bike racks for our 2 MTBs and believe it or not it's much quieter than my associates Yakima rack which has a fairing.

Cheers,
