I'm not sure what that person meant by worst... | | | 10-01-2007, 08:44 AM | #8 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2004 Location: Hawaii Posts: 124 | Who cares? Just leave this discussion someplace else, most of the world drives much smaller and crappier cars than a 318... so who cares. When i said we should have a common sense test it was ment for this board... dont post crap like this lest we become another bimmerforum. | | | 10-01-2007, 01:23 PM | #9 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2005 Location: Amboy, NJ Posts: 333 | Don't you ever, EVER mention that board here again. __________________ 1997 332ti: 18" Gold BBS LM Repro wheels, 245/35/18 tires, H&R Sport springs, Bilstein Sport shocks, 328 front calipers w/ Brembo vented rotors, Brembo rear drilled rotors, X-brace, M3 front bumper, M3 mirrors, Euro clears all around, 6k HID, Black kidney grills, French fogs, Full Magnaflow exhaust w/ High flow cat, Auto - manual swap, B&M short shifter, 3.23 LSD, URI crank pulley, 3.2 OBDII engine swap, Kirk 4 point roll bar, Dove vaders. | | | 10-01-2007, 02:10 PM | #10 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2004 Location: Bremerhaven, Germany Posts: 977 | I like the advice Judith Martin's mother gave her about crossing the Atlantic by passenger ship: that she should always travel in first class or third class when crossing, but never second. In first class, you had luxury; in third class, you had fun. This, as Miss Manners put it, was the proper distribution of the world's blessings. In second class, you had neither. Instead, you had a gnawing uncertainty. If you replace luxury with power you could very well be describing that forum and this one. On this forum, we are travelling third class, and damn well enjoying it. | | | 10-01-2007, 02:26 PM | #11 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2007 Location: SW Florida Posts: 4,275 | well put John __________________ Sean 1995 Active | | | 10-01-2007, 03:25 PM | #12 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Saint Paul, MN Posts: 3,244 | Quote: Originally Posted by John Firestone If you replace luxury with power you could very well be describing that forum and this one. I have only had my car for a few months so i wont say mine will but i have seen cars on here that will womp an m3 or one of those "real bmw's" they where talking about.. I love my car and am planning on doing some serious moding to my car so for now i will bite my tounge when those guys are talking about how they would walk my car because now they would but not for long... | | | 10-01-2007, 04:46 PM | #14 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2005 Location: NJ Posts: 1,625 | thats why a vdub scene is so much cooler... those guys @ least stick up for each other for the most part & dont have so much negative $hit going around & they ALL are indeed 'into' ALL vdubs. if you are marque enthusiast, you dont bash other models IMO... as for the 'bimmerforums' - there is no need whatsoever to ever go onto that site... this site can anwer all questions you may have very well, & the people seem much nicer. | | | 10-01-2007, 05:29 PM | #15 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2004 Location: Manassas, VA Posts: 4,129 | My last car was a Scirocco, and among Vdubs, it got alot of respect. I hate going into the BMW dealership, and seeing all those snobs with their fancy new 3 /5/6/7 series cars. That is the main reason I am a 318ti fan, and not a BMW fan.
