Default What fogs to get for HID upgrade?

After researching this forum extensively, I have been unable to determine what the best fogs for HID are... Here is what I want to do:

Right now I have one fog which is missing (I hit a big rock) and I need to get a new one. I wish to upgrade to HID soon, but that is probably a few months off. I am hoping to stick to something that is close to stock, so that I can go with normal lights for now and then upgrade it without buying new fogs.

Is it possible to get OEM fogs and then upgrade them to HID? ...or do they have to be projectors?

Thanks in advance for your suggestions and help!

I have OEM fogs with HID headlights. My plan is to put whiter bulbs in my fogs, to make them color matched. Not worth the cost and effort to put HIDs in foglights.

You can order the BMW or DDM Tuning OEM reps one. Both of them come with glass lenses. You will have to retrofit the HID bulbs to make them fit. Plenty of diy threads on bfc.
