I went to the site www.worldofbmw.com to try and find the source and Gee Whiz, there is no search feature on their site,  I spent my obligatory 2 minutes there and gave up because I could not find that info anywhere on their site, so I figure the editors of NY Times must have given up that easy too and cited the org instead. SNOWti deserves an award just for digging that up!  Thanks SNOWti, I just love those little tidbits of historical info.  __________________

Wow, thats awesome. I saw that same thing over on autoBlog except the org wasn't sited for anything...
And the roundel is the symbol for C.G. (center of gravity), which may be why BMW spends xx amount of money to lower their C.G. than remove other weight.... jk, but seriously __________________  | | | | | |
