I think the duration is 245, and lift is about 9.5, like Chad said.

240 degrees duration
9.7 mm lift

Default I could be mistaken...

Hmmm. Interesting. Got my numbers out of January 2005 Roundel article on the M10, M42, M44 and S14 motors which is supposedly a reproduction of BMW NA specs.

Actually, the numbers at the URL aren't too far off of what I quoted. 242 degrees vs. 240 degrees duration and 9.68mm versus 9.7mm lift. This *could* be within tolerances.

The Bentley manual doesn't have the camshaft specifications. Darn.

is the intake cams same as the exhaust cams if not can some one tell me the spec on each

Just to make things slightly less clear, I believe there is some adjustment to them as well, however, I haven't heard of anyone taking advantage of that to make lots more power.
