Ive decided that i want to remove the ashtray and lighter socket from just in front the gearstick. i dont smoke and to be honest its a bit gross. the housing surrounding the ashtray and lighter looks like it might just pop out. what could i put there? has anyone done this and put a custom i-pod cradle in there or something else useful to a non-smoker? i found out that my car was ordered when new with the "smokers package" so what would have been there is it was not ordered with this package? can i order something different from my local dealership? any ideas would be much appreciated. The lighter was moved to the area below the shifter. As for the space, i put a foam pad base in there, and use the space for my wallet and glasses. As for the ash tray, on the 95 it is small and the insert pops out and I keep a small garage door opener in there and just flip the lid and push the button!
