Dexter the 318ti, the new little brother to Maxine, the 635csi.
Dexter is mainly going to be a daily driver, but needs a few things to make him the perfect hatch for me. He will probably keep his Alpinweiß coat und will likely stay relatively stock in looks.
A few Euro parts such as clear signal lamps might be added, but other than possibly an M front bumper, and maybe a change of shoes, Dexter is going to be relatively stock looking.
Plans are already churning in my mind as to what to do under the hood, but for now, the M42 is running absolutely perfectly, it's the Buick-reminiscent suspension that will get the first upgrade, and probably soon.
Edit (4/13/14) Dexter has had some new struts in the front for a few months, and just got a bit more sound in the form of a Kicker Thin-Comp S 10-inch sub. Sadly a certain numbnut (ahem ... me) forgot to disconnect the battery before hooking it up, so after a new fuse we'll see if it works. Nice and well hidden wiring under the carpet, but still need new door sills, the orange-yellow plastic is driving me mad.
Edit (9/9/2014) Back on Father's Day, I was heading home on a freeway when rain came down hard and water several inches deep picked up my car and threw Dexter into the inside barrier across two lanes of traffic moving at 50mph. The car took some heavy damage to the front. I denied to claim insurance due to circumstances resulting from miscommunication on what car was supposed to be fully covered ... So my 318ti, with a few repairs is running rough, but is pretty much missing the driver side front end.
That said: M3ti project car? Anyone have an S52/S54 handy?
ToDo List
1: Now: Get the windshield crack repaired. Fix a few things needing fixing, like the window regulator and cruise control.
Edit: 7 Months later, still has that crack... but the cruise control level is fixed.
2: Short term: MUCH stiffer suspension, he should feel like a small car planted to the ground even if it's a little bumpy, not a boat that rides smooth, but dips and pitches like a bull. Probably a little ways off until I can get anything though.
EDIT: New struts! The front is good and stiff now!
3: Long term: Gray plastic bumpers need to be upgraded ... M3 front? Fog Lights? Euro tails markers and signals? More cylinders?
