driver side door beep

ok so everytime my passanger door opens it sets off a beeping/alarm sound. about 2-3 months ago it started. when it first started it was off and on, and for about a month it didnt make the noise when the door opened. it only makes the noise when the car is off. and its been hapening everytime for the past month. thanks for any help.

does it do it with the engine off and the key in the ignition? if it does, that's the key reminder, it beeps when you open the door with the key in to keep you from forgetting the key in the car or something, the fact that it does it intermittently makes me think the door sensor isn't working

My key reminder goes off even after I take the key out....anyone know why this might happen suddenly?
