Default Supercharged M50 swap?

I fell into a 95 ti with a m50 swap, and i'm curious how many folks are running a m50 swap w/ a supercharger in the 318ti... Hope to see some nice setups...

i don't many or any of us on the forum have a SC swap in their ti's. I haven't read of one... but there is a guy here in LA that has a Active Autowerks Twin Screw Supercharger in his 332ti here. However, i don't think he's a member on here or at least an active member for that matter. What kind of setup were you looking at?

There's a few with turbos if ur willing to consider. I've used superchargers in the past, 3 actually (rotrex, vortech, and Asa), but on the m44.

Now using turbo on m52.

Well check out active autowerks. They have two superchargers. one is rated til like 3xx hp, but if you use the search button on their website for the twin screw supercharger you'll see that its rated for 420hp.
Technique Tuning by NickG has one as well i think. he also has turbos available however i'm not sure on the hp output.
there's Dinan, they provide a supercharger as well. But it doesn't produce much hp out of the box because they limited it to lower psi. although, i did read up on one that was modified to boost more and produced a nice amount of hp.

It all comes down to how much you want to spend. A turbo can be built cheap if you source out the parts. You can probably buy a turbo used and rebuild it and find the other parts as ppl part out their kits.

Well I like the thought and sound of a supercharger... but it seems like the $$-HP value is a lil steep... Thx for all the info

nothing is cheap my friend. if you want something you'll have to work your way up to it. but you should focus on the compression test on your motor first. make sure that is up to specs. see if all your gaskets and hoses are good. might as well make sure you have a strong motor that can take a beating before going into forced induction. don't want to spend a lot of money on a supercharger or turbo when all of a sudden your motor dies out on you..
for myself, my goal for next summer is to rebuild my motor. all new gaskets, seals, hoses... as much as i can. then the following year do a forced induction.

all in all, focus on the condition of your motor first before throwing a bunch of money into it.

I was building a kit for my clubsport last year, stopped the work on it when i bought my v8. It was m50non-vanos, GM Eaton supercharger from the 3.8 s/c, only thing left was the manifold and bracket.

Agreed, I certainly wasn't moving at an overnight pace, was just trying to establish an overall direction to head in... I will definitely be moving piece by piece due to having to save up for everything.... Project dead Bluebimma?

Not a SC m50, but maybe as rare ? – an m52b25 with s54b32 oil filter housing, s50b32 oil cooler and a custom made SC system:

Twin Screw SC with patented liquid intercooling system integrated into a high strength cast aluminium intake manifold system covering all 6 cylinders, resulting in flow-matched air distribution and optimal cylinder balance along with ultra-efficient cooling capacity. The liquid intercooler coolant is pumped via a high capacity circulation pump through a high capacity front mount heat exchanger (as used in similar systems for the e9x m3). The system also utilizes a throttle body type butterfly air bypass valve to reduce SC parasitic drag and increase fuel economy during cruising conditions. The entire system consumes less than 2hp during cruising. 6 larger Bosch fuel injectors and a perfectly optimized, dyno tweaked MS41 ECU software. CNC hard anodized brackets and hardware. A lot of custom work to make it fit the e36. ASC+T maintained. The net total engine weight addition over stock is only 15kg, making this configuration approximately 40kg lighter than a stock s50b30/b32 engine and even a few kg lighter than a stock s52b32 engine. It is unlikely that the system will find its way as a kit to the market...

I am running 6 lbs of boost, it has not been on a dyno yet, but the motor was at 383hp before it was transplanted into my ti. After minor changes we have estimated hp to be at 420. I have ordered a Methanol / Water Injection with progessive spray, should add 40-50 more hp.
