Default fuel filter help

Can someone please help me find my fuel filter?
I used the article in the diy link, but it didn't help. I got under my car and looked everywhere........Could someone tell me where it is relative to, say, the engine or tranny oil pans?
thanks!

It's under the drivers seat close to the door. Under the car of course. There is a metal cover over it.

Use a small socket. Not hard at all. Clamp off the fuel lines so the gas doesn't spew. I removed the fuse for the fuel pump and cranked the engine a few times before starting. That relieves the pressure in the lines.

ok thanks,
but just to clarify:
you mean the metal sheet that runs along the bottom of the car, not just a little metal piece covering the fuel filter, right?

It is a metal cover that is only designed to enclose the fuel filter. It is not some large cover that spans the whole under carriage.

Isn't there a write up that shows what it looks like?
