Default blacking out lights

Hey guys i know im not on much anymore and this is a weird question to ask but my girlfriend wants to get her tail lights blacked out or tinted... she saw it on another one of her cars(acrua rsx) and wants to now.

Is it tough? and how do i do it?

btw. I wouldnt ever hurt my precious doing this i just might do it on her car if it seems pretty easy..

Thanks,

I used the same paint as my car. Jet black and sprayed a clear coat on them so the paint won't get damaged. Depending on how dark you want them you can put as many coats of paint that you want.

I wouldn't recommend using regular paint to black out your taillights, I mean you still need them to function and they should remain reflective for safety reasons.

someone in my town used regular paint to black out the taillights on their Pontiac, you can barely see them, and as if that wasn't bad enough, 2 of the 3 bulbs in the center brake light are out

you can use black pantyhose too

On my Neon I used a light spray of Gloss black spray paint... tested with a flashlight for reflective properties... dull but still there... I'll post up a pic once i get the camera back

Just hold can far enough away that paint will stick but not too close to completely black out... looked different... pretty badass... just wished i woulda taped off the backup lamps...

Hey... I Have been doing custom bodywork and paint for over 7 years and a trick i picked up on is that if you wanted a professional tinted look, you can get any body shop to spray "BULLDOG Adhesion Promoter" on any lens (including glass!!!) and have them spray 3-4 light coats of BASF Carizzma Candy Black Tint. Have them finish the lens with and Diamont Clear coat. I have been doing this to all sorts of factory lenses for years and the durability is amazing. If you have any questions about the application PM me.
