Headlights Comparison

Well i Was looking into getting new headlights. Specifically HIDs and AEs. so i went over to ddm only to find like a billion options and a lot of different names which confused me. So I basically want a clarification of all the different types of headlight options. So here are some of the words on the site and names for things that i would like clarified. what are the following? how do they look like in comparison to each other? What are pros and cons? y r some cheaper than others?

Apexcone
Projectors
DEPO
Ellipsoids
55W Ballasts?

Predator Chromium
Predator Orion
DDE Plus
DDE Ultra HD (60+LED)
DDE CCFL
Mycarr Orion (30 LED?)

Sorry for all the questions. I tried searching for a thread like this explaining it all but i couldn't. i think it would be helpful to others as well.

I have been looking for information too. For pictures of the different angel eyes search google images. One of the issues with the orions is that they only have 30 LEDs which don't give off enough light to completely light up the angel eye. This gives it the "pearl necklace" look, if you want LED angel eyes make sure to get ones with 60 or more LEDs. Most people seem to run the chromiums.

I have read that stock BMW HIDS on new cars have 35W ballasts, so basically 55W is a huge light output upgrade.

Not too sure about the apexcone vs DEPO, it really comes down to people who have them chiming in and telling us their experiences with them. Search bimmerforums and here for people who have installed both and see what they say.

I think I'm going with Apexcone and i think orions would look nice with the 60led but they dont specify how many LED r int the orions when i go for that option. heres the link so u can see what i'm talking about.

Im positive that the Orion v1 have the 60, and the v2 has the necklace looking ones. I ordered some, I'll post when I put them in

you may want to check out this package-its called the birthday bash package- i was leaning towards the apexcone, and this one is the DEPO, but this was a super good deal and i ended up getting all new headlights, corners, and tails for like $375

Go to the link that John posted up, the orions that DDM sells as an option are the 30 LED, the DDE Ultra HD are the 60 LED.

how did you get taillights from DDM? I thought they didn't sell ti taillights

Well i dont quite want all the corners n such. i have corners ans i dont want laminx. so ill go with the apexcones with 6000k HID with the 55W ballasts upgrade and the predator chromiums. its only about $225 which makes me happy.

ti tails are different than coupe and sedan tails. Maybe you should call and confirm.

yeah, they only have coupe and sedan listed, neither one fits the ti, which ones did they say would fit?
