I'd take it for parts either way, so perhaps assume it is working and I can try to bench test it and if it's not we can work something out. | | | 08-04-2015, 07:05 PM | #8 | Moderator Join Date: Mar 2007 Location: Maryland Posts: 3,220 | That might work! | | | 08-04-2015, 07:27 PM | #9 | Junior Member Join Date: Aug 2015 Location: California Posts: 6 | Just curious, how much would you charge for the radiator lower housing? I just bought one from http://www.bmwdiscountparts.com and am thinking that maybe used was the way to go? | | | 08-04-2015, 08:29 PM | #10 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2012 Location: Sacramento, CA Posts: 2,451 | 318ti cali part out Haha! You're the man Bradestar.! Good to be on your toes. 12v to the motor to see if it operates without skipping is a good start. The real test is under load of a top. What I do is just open the motor up and check all the gear teeth. Toothless gears don't work so well. At minimum, you hope the top gear (installed) is intact. I am looking for plastics without any scuffs or cracks/cuts like my current ones. I am pretty much looking for ones in "like new" condition so I won't get my hopes up haha. __________________ 95 318ti & 96 318ti Quote: Originally Posted by eurohb Im Jelly.. enough said. | Follow me on instagram: earlmeyeriii | | | 08-05-2015, 03:08 PM | #14 | Moderator Join Date: Mar 2007 Location: Maryland Posts: 3,220 | I'll work to get around to all the inquiries asap Quote: Originally Posted by Earl | The car isn't a gem by any means, I'll take a look and post pics | | | 08-05-2015, 06:30 PM | #15 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2013 Location: Seattle Posts: 513 | Quote: Originally Posted by BlackBMWs Haha!
