Default Are these wheels OK?

I'm looking for a new set of wheels and thinking about these: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/17-8-...8006QQtcZphoto

Does anyone know of a reason NOT to buy them? I see them on eBay and the seller store is O E Wheels.
I plan to put them on a '95 318ti.

I haven't had any experience using "O E Wheel Distributors" but I have seen some dissatisfied people who purchased wheels from them post their issues on the internet.

Here is a better business report on them:

I am not saying there are bad folks because I don't know but I feel I should alert any member of this forum to the information I found on them.

Like I said I have no axe to grind, so make up your own mind but do a little research for your self.

good luck

That's was enough for me to want to look somewhere else first. If there's one thing I hate it's getting screwed. I'd rather buy local anyway if the price is the same after taxes as it is online with shipping. Plus this way I'll help feed a family here in Va. However I'm not opposed to a good deal. If anyone knows of a good honest wheels over the internet type place.

Just bought some rims from them like a month ago. Everything seems perfect so far... I picked them up on the way to Tampa they are located in sarasota, fl. They seemed to have a nice warehouse and were loading everything into a ups truck so they def. are legit. The only bad thing is i had to pay tax, but atleast no shipping .. Anyways i think you will be ok if you make a purchase from them.

what wheels were you looking at zboot? I got style 71's with a deep lip.
They look sweet.

Hey JiggerJosh let us know how they fit. Send a pic. I'm interested in how the spacing is and if they fit like perfect like OEM wheels.

I assure you they will fit perfectly, they are replicas and the offset is the same as oem 3 series wheels. Like i said ive had them on the car for like a month now with 225/40/18 in the front and 235/40/18 in the rear all tires are nitto NT 555 extreme. I will post some pics when i get ahold of my girls camera, i do have one sucky cell phone pic in my gallery though.

JiggerJosh...

How do you like the feel of riding on 18" wheels with 235/40/18 tires? I'll be moving up from 215/60/15 to 17" wheels. I haven't decided on the tires but I get a little rubbing from the 215's when sharp turning after a front spoiler replacement a few years ago. I'm afraid 235 would be worse, are you having any issues with turns? I also was wondering if you did any suspension upgrades going to the 18" wheels. I was thinking I may have to upgrade my 12 year old suspension if I go to 40 series tires, what do you think?

Well i must say my stock sport wheels (225/50/R16) road noticably better due to more rubber on the sidewall to asbord the shock than the 18"s. But they do ride nice partially becuase its a BMW. Theres pretty much no way that your tires should be rubbing on any turn unless your shocks and possibly springs are completly blown, that is if those are stock wheels you have on there. My car is lowered with new bilstien sports and and h&r springs with no runbbing whatsoever. With my setup i could safely go to a 255 wide tire in the back without issues. For the front 225 is all you will ever need, even e46 m3 runs 225's in the front.
