I am looking for some headlights for my car. I want some good euro Ellipsoid headlights and defintley want HID lights. But for right now I am just looking for the headlights and then I will worry about installing HID in them later. Well I am came across a set that are ellipsoid and have CCFL angel eyes. But then I noticed the seller's name and I could swear I have heard something bad about him. His name is redcometM3 . Has anyone ever had any promblems with this seller???? I want to make sure he's cool before I buy from him. __________________ custom dual exhaust,M3 front and rear bumper, 10.4 inch roof mount drop screen, Viper alarm system, DSII's rims, M3 Vader Seats, M3 Mirrors, Carbon Fiber CAI, Smoked Corners, Side Markers, Leatherz armrests, black grilles 225k miles and still the Ti goes on | | | 06-03-2007, 04:39 PM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2005 Location: Detroit, MI Posts: 585 | .....redcometM3....... His headlights- Decent His angel eye- Horrible Buy the headlights from him and then get your angel eyes from ebstores. RedcometM3 isn't a fun guy to communicate with. I know at least 2 or 3 other people have his headlights. But I think only one person has had their angel eyes actually work from him. Pnosker referred me to ebstores angel eyes. I made a bid at $45 and got them, so you could probably get them cheaper. Thats my 2 cents. __________________ | | | 06-03-2007, 04:48 PM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2005 Location: Detroit, MI Posts: 585 | __________________ | | | 06-03-2007, 04:55 PM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2006 Location: Regensburg, Germany Posts: 584 | Good memory...yeah, I have his headlights. His customer service isnt the best. The angel eyes worked for 3 days, he wont work with me on replacing them. Just be aware, its still a good deal, I suppose, I just wouldnt get his angel eyes if there is that choice. | | | 06-03-2007, 08:02 PM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2006 Location: G-dale, California Posts: 1,698 | i agree with these guys redcometm3's headlights are pretty good for the price and they improve the look of the car. The angel eyes are not the best of quality but for some reason mine are still working fine lol Ya his service isnt the best but ive dealt with worse and he actually emailed me back fairly quickly and got me extra inverters for a good deal. I guess i just had a better experience with him than these 2 above me. __________________ Live Everyday As If Its Your Last A friend is someone who is willing to step into a flame to save you........aka a 318ti | | | 06-03-2007, 08:02 PM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2006 Location: G-dale, California Posts: 1,698 | anything was better than my old headlights lol __________________ Live Everyday As If Its Your Last A friend is someone who is willing to step into a flame to save you........aka a 318ti | | | 06-03-2007, 09:58 PM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2006 Location: Memphis, Tn Posts: 1,299 | Thanks for the comments guys. I am just going to buy the Depo only headlights for him only. I will get the angel eye and HID from someone else at another time. I am just really tired of these ugly plastic US headlights. It is time for some new ones. __________________ custom dual exhaust,M3 front and rear bumper, 10.4 inch roof mount drop screen, Viper alarm system, DSII's rims, M3 Vader Seats, M3 Mirrors, Carbon Fiber CAI, Smoked Corners, Side Markers, Leatherz armrests, black grilles 225k miles and still the Ti goes on | | | 06-03-2007, 11:46 PM | #8 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2006 Location: Stamford, CT <-> Boston, MA Posts: 1,393 | So the headlights on eBay are infact DEPO? I thought DEPO is "printed" on the lens (part of the mold). I've never seen a pair up close before so I cant confirm, but the headlights on eBay are considerably cheaper ($33) than what the group buy over on bf.c are selling em at. __________________ BMWCCA #403399 2012 Mini Cooper S Clubman, 6-Speed Loaded 2001 325xi, Winter Package, 5-Speed Traded 1998 318ti, Active, Automatic, TOTAL LOSS R.I.P. 10/20/08 Bilstein Sport Shocks/Struts . Not sure if they're worth blowing off though since $33 is more than 10%. | | | 06-04-2007, 03:27 AM | #10 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2006 Location: G-dale, California Posts: 1,698 | Quote: Originally Posted by pnosker They ARE Depo, but an older generation with thinner glass and weaker plastic.
