This usually happens when you are racing or just plain being stupid and it ends up costing a new engine or an overhaul. | | | 06-23-2008, 08:46 AM | #21 | Member Join Date: Mar 2006 Location: Antelope Valley, CA Posts: 55 | Quote: Originally Posted by 1996 328ti | i'm the one hes was 110% reaady to trade with. i was was intrested untill i read that thread... | | | 06-23-2008, 01:02 PM | #22 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2007 Location: Ferndale, MD Posts: 462 | He seemed like a dick to me. He would ruin it from there. __________________ No trunk for the Junk | | | 06-23-2008, 02:11 PM | #25 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2005 Location: Florida Posts: 2,525 | Quote: Originally Posted by ATF 5th to 2nd probably. | Really? I put my hand on the shifter upside down when going from 3rd to 4th so that I'm putting pressure towards the passenger side of the car. No way to miss and hit second then. | | | 06-23-2008, 02:19 PM | #26 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2007 Location: Ferndale, MD Posts: 462 | I did do a money shift once and caught it fast. Wasn't racing, just down shifting, instead of 4th I hit 2nd. My rear wheels locked up and within the blink of an eye I was out of gear. My heart was pounding but it was all good, live and learn. __________________ No trunk for the Junk | | | 06-23-2008, 02:56 PM | #27 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Greenville, SC Posts: 9,356 | I've had two or three close calls to money shifts. All at the track. __________________ ...steven BMW CCA #146825 1996 BMW 328ti • 2003 MINI Cooper S • 2016 M235i www.bmwcca.org | | | 06-23-2008, 02:57 PM | #28 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2006 Location: Stamford, CT <-> Boston, MA Posts: 1,393 | Quote: Originally Posted by mohaughn Really? Too many questionable things and read he messed it up before. You can buy it and do lots of work on fixing it up. Another reason is he disrespected Steven on bfc so that is a no no in my eye. He gives us ti owners a bad rep! | | | 06-23-2008, 04:21 PM | #30 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2005 Location: Richmond Hill, GA Posts: 1,231 | It could be the most flawless swap in the world and with an attitude like that I wouldn't deal with the guy. That's just me though. | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
