I had the same setup as L84THSKY - XT 8 speed rear derailleur and Grip Shift up front. It worked, but the bike had been raced to death, so I swapped all the components out.

Nice Bike!! I have some Klein "garage art" too. It's a 10 year old Klein Adriot, that I used to race. I got it down to a whacky 18lbs with titanium components, bits, and bolts. Probably put 4 grand in that thing when I originally put it together.

Wish I had as much time as I used to, to ride. Trained for years.. 5 days a week, hammering, did a handful of NORBA events. Fun Stuff!! Enjoy it!

Here's some pictures of my:

1998ish Specialized Stumpjumper FS
XTR rear, XT front
Deore LX Right Shift
XTR Left Shift
ROCK SHOX Judy SL Fork
Avid Brakes
Time ATAC Pedals
Fast TracK LK Armadillo Elites

1989ish Klein Performance Electric Green
Full Shimano 600(ORIGINAL BAYBEEE)
Profile Design Carbon Fork
Mavic M2s
Ultegra Pedals
Michelin Carbons

The photo of the Klein doesn't do the color justice. It's like neon green.

Was told an 55 but has no markings as to size. I believe it's a 54 due to serial number, interested?

nah, 54's a little too cramped for me. I normally ride 56's, but a 55 in that frame is perfect fit for me.

I agree, I haven't measured it yet, bought it on Ebay for short money and then turned around and bought the Motobecane Century Pro 2x10 Ultegra delivered for 800 with mix of Ritchey WCS pieces weighed 17.3 lbs for 56 cm bike as a leftover.

CF stays and 7005 Al main tubes. Nice bike yet doesn't beat you up due to CF stays.

www.bikesdirect.com is where I got it. Not bad their web page is basic to keep costs down stuff is made in Tawain of course but most mid level bikes are these days as well.

Completely forgot about adding a picture. My rig right now:
Azonic Steelhead frame
Crank Bros Opium C headset
Azonic DoubleWall riser bar
Azonic Shorty stem
SRAM X.0 short cage
e.13 LG1
Thomson post
Blk Mrkt Knuckles seat

Fork, cranks and wheelset will be changed at some point, probably to Fox Float RLC, Shimano Octalink, not sure about the wheels. Right now there is a set of Nuke Proof SuperFly hubs laced to Bontrager Mustang rims that have held up forever. May run 24" wheels and turn this into a DJ instead of the 4X setup it is now.

Nice newer Merckx there, how do you like it? I have some of the older Coors Classic calenders and velosport calenders framed.

I think you need a steel is real tribute to Eddy.

The Merckx is just awesome.

Did 4000 miles last year with 1000 in July.

The best buy that I have owned.

Don't ask about this year (I am taking it off!)
