Aftermarket radio choices

HI, does this HU have a built in mic i.e. do you speak into it while its connected your your mobile phone to make calls or something? Or does that work in some other way?

Hi when you want to make a call and this HU DEH-P700BT is connected via bluetooth to your phone, what mic where do you speak into ? Is the mic on the head unit?

It's got a mic on the head unit and also an external mic that it comes with. You can select it to default to either one.

I finally got my 318ti back in the shop to finish the I6 and manual transmission swap, and the first thing I did was test fit my new radio.

Here are some pictures:





The outer part of the radio is more brown than the rest of the radio, but it is not really that noticeable. The flash just really makes it stand out. I really like how it blends in with the rest of the dash.

I wont be actually plugging it in until the car is up and running. Then I will post some shots with the screen lit up.

Just bought this Kenwood stereo and it looks good and you can turn the BLUE backlighting off. Works wonderful with IPOD as well. Like the 2 dial function knobs as well.
