Only two decent ones I have. The second one was more to show my horrible wheel fitment. I need spacers and camber badly! | | | 10-18-2009, 07:27 PM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2008 Location: New Orleans Posts: 970 | not feeling the headlights, but not bad, those rims actually look pretty good with the white paint, get your sideskirts painted, change the headlights, get some m moldings and i think itd look great, and yeah, spacers would help haha __________________ ^being rebuilt^ until then: daily car: 96' Blue DASC'd ti with koni coilovers slowly progressing... weekend car: 85 1/2' 944 Porsche no a/c, p/s, gutted cat, loud as hell exhaust, loud as hell sound system | | | 10-18-2009, 07:47 PM | #3 | Member Join Date: Aug 2009 Location: KCMO Posts: 40 | Thanks for the compliments, imho aswell, my wheels turned out great. I have those headlights because I wrecked the car about 4 days after I bought it and didn't have the money to pay for Depos... just needed something to drive again. And yes, the side skirts and rear lip will be painted to match the front as well, as I said above, I wrecked it and just got the front end fixed! *And on the M moldings, I'm not M-power anything... so no. | | | 10-18-2009, 07:58 PM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2008 Location: Greensboro, NC Posts: 234 | LOVE the wheels, but whats with the side view mirrors, red, yellow and blue dont go at all | | | 10-18-2009, 08:06 PM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: asdfasdf Posts: 10,002 | I'm actually kinda digging the rims, 17"s would be much better but even in 15"s they don't look bad with that drop I agree on the M moldings, it's nothing to do with "M power" or anything, they're just the same size and width as the bumper moldings so it looks a little cleaner | | | 10-18-2009, 08:34 PM | #6 | NOBODY F's with the Jesus Join Date: Oct 2006 Location: Ventura California Posts: 7,824 | The headlights look like they're coupe fitment. Normally headlights are not coupe/sedan specific, but since the corners are integrated, you need the sedan/compact fitment. That being said, Depo Gen4 headlights look 100 times better and only cost about $125 @ DDMtuning.com. Stay away from DDM's projector36 or DJauto garbage. Standard Depo Gen4's are the best bang for the buck. Your car looks nice and I'm not going to knock it, but it seems like you're trying too hard with the "hey look at me I'm different" mods. I think what happens is people see other cars with German flag mirrors, french'd fogs, 1-piece headlights, painted wheels etc, and think to themselves that their car would look good if they combine all of those mods onto one car. The final result is you end up with a cheaply modded car. Simple=Clean, Clean=Tasteful I've seen some really cleanly modded base model Ti's. Wasabinuki, Marcus and Philly are good examples. | | | 10-18-2009, 08:55 PM | #7 | Member Join Date: Aug 2009 Location: KCMO Posts: 40 | Quote: Originally Posted by acevedo12 LOVE the wheels, but whats with the side view mirrors, red, yellow and blue dont go at all | the mirror is black, red, and yellow... german flag? and agreed jess. it is a tad bit trying to hard to be unique sort of thing. and i want depos! but i'd rather have my chip first | | | 10-19-2009, 06:16 PM | #9 | Member Join Date: Aug 2009 Location: KCMO Posts: 40 | i really like those aswell and ah, i was expecting "M moldings" to be labeled ///M or something | | | 10-19-2009, 07:02 PM | #10 | NOBODY F's with the Jesus Join Date: Oct 2006 Location: Ventura California Posts: 7,824 | Quote: Originally Posted by BahnBurnerE36 i really like those aswell and ah, i was expecting "M moldings" to be labeled ///M or something | The factory ones that came on Sport models do. However, if you don't like the ///M, they sell other badges that you can replace them with. Most popular is the "BMW MotorSport International" badges and I've even seen plain "BMW" badges. Here's the factory badges and what I'm replacing them with: | | | 10-19-2009, 07:15 PM | #11 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2008 Location: Rensselaer, NY Posts: 254 | I've always wanted to replace the M badge on my molding with something ti specific, but they don't sell anything like that and I wouldn't know how to do a custom set. __________________ | | | 10-19-2009, 07:18 PM | #12 | NOBODY F's with the Jesus Join Date: Oct 2006 Location: Ventura California Posts: 7,824 | BMW had some really cool ones a while back, but they've since been discontinued. They made one that said "ClubSport" and another that said "Mtechnik". I think I remember seeing one that said "BMW Individual" which came on cars with the individual package. | | | 10-19-2009, 07:32 PM | #13 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2008 Location: Rensselaer, NY Posts: 254 | I would like a molding badge that says Ti or 318ti. Simple yet effective. M colors would be cool too. __________________ | | | 10-19-2009, 11:00 PM | #14 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2006 Location: Oxford, Ohio Posts: 868 | Funny, I don't think Club Sports came with the ClubSport badge on the mouldings at all. | | | 10-20-2009, 01:24 AM | #15 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: asdfasdf Posts: 10,002 | Quote: Originally Posted by dave45056 Funny, I don't think Club Sports came with the ClubSport badge on the mouldings at all. | the didn't, the euro 325is Clubsport did though, I'm not sure why the 318ti Clubsport didn't get them | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
