The brake ducts from a non-M bumper will not be quite long enough for the M style bumper. They will fit, they will just be loose. Seriously, the bumper is very good quality for aftermarket and the fitment is fine. (voice of experience here...) Look at how the security marked my sidewall and wheel instead of the tread! I called the security company and sent them pictures and told then to let the people know not to mark the wheels this way, how freaking annoying. It did not come off with water alone and I did scratch the wheels paint a little, not that it was that nice to begin with but still. they call this crap chalk but it is not just chalk! If you ever park atr the Locust St. Parking lot where Buckhorn is, watch out for your wheels. I called in a complaint and told them to mark the tread, not the sidewalls and rim. WTF! | | | 04-13-2010, 03:29 AM | #18 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2010 Location: Nor Cal Posts: 136 | So I decide to use a brush and some dish washing soap and the stuff still wont come off. That crap Stained my wheel and they say it's only chalk, yea with fu*king florescent dye/or ink in it! Stain! I even used wooden chopsticks trying to get this stuff off and it still didn't come off completely! | | | 04-13-2010, 03:44 AM | #19 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2007 Location: norcal - 94590 Posts: 3,186 | yeah, that looks like grease pen, not chalk... Try some Goof Off or WD40.. Maybe it's just a sign that you need to get new wheels __________________ James 95 active w/leather interior and sport interior conversion, Vaders, full M-Tech exterior conversion. Does anybody on the forums feel like BMW's get hated on for no darn reason sometimes or because they look too good? I do want new wheels and will probably refinish or sell these ones. | | | 04-13-2010, 04:36 AM | #21 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2010 Location: Nor Cal Posts: 136 | Also is anything wrong with this picture? I do not know much about these cars since this is only the 3rd day I have ever touched a 318Ti but a Clutch Fan and an Electric fan (that I have never heard come on) and also I think there is no fan in front behind the grill. It's missing!! | | | 04-13-2010, 05:50 AM | #22 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: asdfasdf Posts: 10,002 | that's definitely not normal, all US-spec 318ti'ss came equipped with just an electric fan, but US-spec 318i's and 318is's were available with the clutch fan, I'm thinking that engine might not be original or some mechanic just got really confused the ti's also don't have a fan behind the front grill, they just use the puller fan behind the radiator, which you have | | | 04-13-2010, 06:43 AM | #23 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2005 Location: Portland Or Posts: 2,666 | Some think mechanical fans = good and electric bad, old school types. Silly Dave | The previous owner told me the mechanic thought having 2 fans would be good, I believe the mechanical fan only creates engine drag for one thing and also looks pretty dumb in there without a fan shroud. So only the other 318's came with the larger front fan for additional cooling and the Ti's only had one electrical fan behind(puller) behind the radiator , is this correct? I do not even hear the E-Fan come on or make noise at all, humm? Where to start checking now? Fan thermostat, wires ect darn time to read through the Bentley manual. I am going to take that damm thing off tomorrow. I have been driving it and out about 100 miles on it now but figure all my driving is freeway and not really stop and go so no overheating issues. The temp stays at half way and hasn't got hot yet but the weather also has been cold. I need to take care of this before it get;s hot. | | | 04-13-2010, 11:59 PM | #27 | Member Join Date: Mar 2009 Location: Central and Southern California Posts: 34 | I never in 2 years heard my fan turn on no matter how hot it was, until one day I turned my car fully off, and then turned my car into the ON (not start) position. You should try that first. | | | 04-14-2010, 01:47 AM | #28 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2008 Location: Houston TX Posts: 309 | the fan turns on in my car when i turn my a/c on. | | | 04-14-2010, 03:03 AM | #29 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2010 Location: Nor Cal Posts: 136 | Quote: Originally Posted by 713bmw318ti the fan turns on in my car when i turn my a/c on. | My AC does not work and when I push it on the fan does not turn on either.? Are the front of these cars exactly the same as a normal M3 coupe or 4 door? Will this one do? http://www.ddmtuning.com/index.php?p...=73&parent=152 Do you also have a Black one Wolf? | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
