The thing to remember is to assembly the strut/spring/hat before bolting it in. __________________ ...steven BMW CCA #146825 1996 BMW 328ti • 2003 MINI Cooper S • 2016 M235i www.bmwcca.org | | | 02-04-2010, 09:18 PM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2007 Location: Elizabeth City, NC Posts: 3,877 | Rear are even easier than the fronts, one bolt on the bottom and two nuts at the shock tower. __________________ ~Dave~ 98 328ti Morea Grun slicktop 11 128i space gray slicktop 13 JGC WK2 Deep Cherry Search | RealOEM | | | 02-05-2010, 06:13 PM | #5 | Junior Member Join Date: Jan 2010 Location: dover Posts: 18 | thanks guys... You a real nice bunch. I am going to try and do the rears tomorrow. Are the rear shocks on my car (ti m-tech sport edition) the same as normal compact shocks or are they different ? | | | 02-05-2010, 09:41 PM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2008 Location: Central Florida Posts: 678 | Quote: Originally Posted by zen200 thanks guys... Go to www.bavauto.com, select your vehicle (year, model), then go to suspension, then shocks... Those will be same as Factory (Sachs/Boge). Or you can upgrade to Bilstein HD (if not lowered) or Sports if lowered. __________________ 2LT Rodriguez CA ARNG TURBO 96' Sport, Alaska Blue, Auto Custom JohnBoy Turbo, Midnight-Tunning Software, HKS BOV, e-Pod Gauge Pod, BavAuto Springs, Bilstein Sport, e30 3.73 LSD, Depo P36, Apexcone 55w HID, OEM Spoiler, M3 Lip, M3 Mesh Grill, Crossdrilled Rear Rotors, M3 Front Brakes, Sparco 3 point Harness, Euro M3 Wheel, K&N cone, Clear Corner/Sides/Tails, M3 Center Console & Arm-rest, M3 Red Cluster Needles, M3 Mirrors & Side Skirts, RD Exhaust, DS-1 wheels!... I'm not sure if you are looking for a stiff or comfortable ride but the HDs will most certainly make the car stiffer. If you just want stock replacement get bilstein TCs, monroe, etc they should be fine. The sport package lowers the car very conservatively compared to aftermarket springs, HDs should be fine with that. __________________ ~Dave~ 98 328ti Morea Grun slicktop 11 128i space gray slicktop 13 JGC WK2 Deep Cherry Search | RealOEM | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
