While the oem diffs are mega cheap, the lock rate leaves a lot to be desired. The locking rate is improved by the adding additional clutches to the diff but the BMW housing can only accept so many.

Upgrading to a kaaz or os giken lsd unit will provide absolutely insane levels of diff performance that can't be compared against the oem BMW diffs.
