I just very carefully tapped screws into the stock housing. It's been holding up nicely. Yeah, they're small, but the stereo shop owner showed me what they sounded like in his demo car. Jeez. They have really good highs and lows. Not so much bass, but they're really nice for $20.
I did the same. Was hoping someone was able to successfully install some larger rear speakers for more bass.

EDIT - I think THIS is the correct one. It looks like what I remember seeing before.

I'd contact their customer service and ask first.

Well i replaced them tonight. I took the speakers from the kick panels in a 318i and worked them to fit with out the ti housing. They sound like they have more bass then stock. but that could be cause ive been driving around with only one rear actually working for like 4 months lol

kinda sounds like a bit pain in the back end all this ..
i was less then impressed with the sound quality of the ti speakers from day 1 .. any high bass = distort cant have bass on louder the +3 especially if the audio has heavy bass *constantly having to adjust for some material*, then any loud volume = distort + vibration .. just plain old crap.. maybe my speakers are blown ... but not sure I like the idea of going to factory speakers and at $50 a pop its not a good look.

and did you notice they actually face the rear speakers away from the cabin .. heh no wonder
