I just re-assembled by intake manifold after replacing all of my coolant lines and plastic connectors. I have small diameter vacuum line that I cannot find the home for. It is connected to a tee fitting underneath the intake manifold. It appears to be long enough to go to the throttle body, but the only fitting on the throttle body that would fit this size, has a small length hose with an round block in connection, do not know if this supposed to be there or not. CAN ANYONE HELP? Thanks Last edited by btbiii; 11-15-2010 at 12:19 AM. If you look at the throttle body it has a short piece of hose on a barb, but it is choked off with an L piece of round stock, like a round allen wrench. Don't know if someone broke this line off before and just blocked off throttle body. Intake was definately off before, as some left off the mounting bracket and did not have the mounting screws on the front and back side. | | | 11-15-2010, 03:05 AM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Halethorpe, MD Posts: 1,028 | Take that homebrew rig off the throttle body and plug that line in there. That's where it goes. I'm not sure what it's attached to on the other end, but it's under the lower half of the intake manifold. | | | 11-15-2010, 04:09 AM | #6 | Junior Member Join Date: Jul 2010 Location: Hackettstown Posts: 8 | Thank You It appears to come from a T that comes off a check valve, another piece called a "container". I guess it fell off and some one got creative. When I took the intake manifold off, I found out that the only thing holding it on were the mounting studs to the head. The bottom bracket is MIA and the front and rear screws were not installed. | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
