My mate's dad used to have one and he told me it was the world's first. Maybe first euro fiberglass car? Who knows. They're still kinda cool. | | | 12-23-2010, 07:40 PM | #62 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2007 Location: Virginia Posts: 242 | | | | 12-23-2010, 08:09 PM | #63 | Junior Member Join Date: Oct 2010 Location: Prince Edward Island, Canada Posts: 27 | I stand corrected. How about the glaspar? | | | 12-23-2010, 09:14 PM | #64 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2007 Location: Virginia Posts: 242 | The Glasspar G2 was in the same situation as the Wildfire. I was ready to argue that Glasspar made only boat hulls, but they apparently built a car called the Glasspar in 1949. Both had a few units made but then the rest of the cars were kits. Yes, some were produced, but they were not produced like the Corvette was, though they say that the body for the Wildfire was of a higher quality than the 'Vettes! Other than that, they aren't really rewarding. Can you post some of the interiors if you have done something cool with that as well? I have just bought my car some customised cheap car mats to finish off the look and it looks ace. | | | 05-08-2011, 11:58 PM | #71 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2009 Location: Ft Defiance, AZ Posts: 686 | | | | 05-09-2011, 03:45 AM | #72 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2010 Location: Wichita Falls, Texas Posts: 1,364 | I think that the 1 series will be the next BMW cult cars, the de-contented ones, at least. After the E36's, BMW's got too heavy, too electronic, too focused on creature comforts, and too complicated for DIY guys to work on. BMW could make another ti like car, but they won't because there would not be enough profit margin in it, and the public probably wouldn't buy it anyway (sound familiar?). | | | 06-06-2011, 06:25 AM | #73 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2010 Location: Riverside ,So-Cal Posts: 725 | My dream cars are an EM1 and EVO MR and my Ti with S52 swap __________________ EURO FRESH Last edited by Ralliart10; 06-06-2011 at 06:31 AM. | | | 07-19-2011, 11:08 PM | #74 | Junior Member Join Date: Mar 2011 Location: VA Beach Posts: 11 | sickkkkk! | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
