DDubbs thanks for the recommendations, unfortunately my radiator is fairly new but I'll change the gasket out anyway; you never know what type of condition it was in when installing it.

I have also somewhat recently replaced both plastic connectors for the cooling system and I'm seeing that the side connector is leaking coolant. I've made sure it was tight and fitted but may have to just purchase a new o-ring for that too. It's always something.

My radiator is also fairly new (ebay Behr) and it leaks at the lower expansion tank oring occasionally. I found a couple threads on bimmerforums talking about a M44 Z3 doing the repair and he said it looks easy but the tank is pressed in pretty hard.

I bought both the lower and upper orings but I haven't done anything with them yet. I need to soon.

Cirrus posted a picture in a cooling thread showing that the aftermarket side coolant pipe was molded with a bend that made it impossible to seal correctly. The OE BMW part is correct and should definitely be used. http://318ti.org/forum/showpost.php?...3&postcount=49

Spidertri good call on the side pipe; I knew about the difference a couple of years ago but apparently forgot about it. The current one was given to me by an independent shop and I do not know if it's OEM or not. I'm thinking the best thing for me to is go down and purchase the OEM version with my own eyes looking at it, and switch them out.

Finally replace a water pump and thermostat by a mechanic, found out the water pump fail. It cost me $425 for the labor and parts. Drive the car for the last two days local and freeway no problem.
