Hello everyone! Very nice, helpful, and organized thread. Thank you! I am looking at the 318ti for it fits my needs well. I´ve seen maybe only one or two in Wichita, but would also consider a 318i or 318is. I´ve owned an 87 325e and a 92 325i Cabrio E30. Does anyone know this car? wichita.craigslist.org...81395.html I´ve talked him down to $3150, but I´m still not sure because I think $3k is more fair but he wont take it...yet... Overall it is ok, and would be great when all the little things are fixed...and there is a handful of them. The body is excellent, no rust or dents, interior is good too except a repair on the leather and little trim clips missing. Motor and tranny are good. Needs the following: pads, rotors, sunroof motor + possibly the track, several interior bits, PS reservoir leak, clutch soon (75k on current one), rear trunk seal, and the ABS does not work, window tint is not good, and there is a rumble/vibration from the back end when over 55mph or moderate-hard acceleration (feels similar to bent wheel, bad tire, or hub bearing). I estimated $2k in parts to fix everything including clutch and cosmetics. What to think? How much is it worth? How much if all these things were taken care of, giving it a 8-9/10 condition? Keep looking man. Well sorted ti's typically sell between 4-5k while basket cases typically sell between 1-3k. Either way, it's a never ending project as there's always something that you'll want to upgrade or replace. Half the fun of owning these cars is working on them. The lucky people actually get to drive theirs. Did you know the BMW guys meet at Mead's corner (Douglass & Emporia) 9:00am on second Saturdays. Also check the web site wichitabmw.com I like the hatchback because I can fold down the seat and fit my bass in it. Plus mine has an M3 engine for grins.
