I couldn't find a 3.45 LSD when I did my swap and I installed an open carrier. This one works smoothly and quietly. The car has high miles, but this unit was manufactured in 1999, so I am guessing it was replaced around 2000 or so, which would mean it has around 130k on it. I have removed the cover to make sure it is an LSD. It is. I am leaning towards moving the limited slip into my 3.45 unit, but figured I would test the waters to see if anyone is in the market. It weighs about 60 lbs if you want to estimate shipping. The mounting ear on the cover is broken off. The cover on this one is the broken one from my 3.45 unit that came from a damaged car. I needed the good cover off off of this one when I installed the open unit. They are all interchangeable, so you will need your cover when installing this one. Send offers via PM. If you want a limited slip differential in your automatic '96, this is the correct ratio and it is a bolt in. The limited slips are relatively difficult to find because only some 95-96 cars had them. I need to post up a for trade post to see if anybody that did a swap and wants this ratio wants to swap for a higher ratio unit... Have you looked into how much the parts to change the internal gearing cost? | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
